Are you a newly trained doula looking to build your confidence and gain real-world experience? Orion’s Doula Mentorship Program is designed to help you bridge the gap between training and practice with supportive, hands-on learning alongside an experienced doula.

What This Program Offers

This mentorship is for doulas who are ready to step into the birth and postpartum world with guidance, structure, and real client interactions. Under Rigel’s supervision, mentees will:

  • Attend client births or postpartum visits as an active support person

  • Observe and assist in real-time scenarios to build skills and confidence

  • Receive structured feedback and guidance before and after client sessions

  • Gain exposure to client communication, documentation, and business practices

  • Join regular check-ins with Rigel for mentorship, case reviews, and Q&A

How It Works

  • Application + Interview: We’ll begin with a quick application and call to make sure we’re a good fit.

  • Client Pairing: Mentees will be matched with opportunities based on availability and interest.

  • Mentored Experience: Mentees join Rigel (or attend solo with prep + debriefing) to support clients at different stages of care.

  • Ongoing Support: You’ll receive guidance, skill-building resources, and a behind-the-scenes look at running a doula business.
